EMS job shadowing offers high school senior students a unique opportunity to experience the fast-paced world of emergency medical services. Participants observe EMTs and AEMT's in action, learning about patient care, medical equipment, and emergency response procedures. This experience provides insight into the challenges and rewards of a career in EMS, helping students explore their interests in healthcare and emergency medicine. Shadowing opportunities may include ride-alongs, station visits, and direct interaction with professionals in the field.

A Hold Harmless Agreement and HIPAA Agreement MUST be signed by a parent or legal guardian and be on file before any job shadowing can take place. The parent/guardian and prospective participant should thoroughly read and understand the documents, discuss all possible risks involved, and be aware of what they may be exposed to in the field. Additionally, it is crucial to emphasize the importance of HIPAA regulations and the legal consequences of any breach of patient confidentiality.
Please find the Hold Harmless/HIPAA Agreement below to fill out prior to your visit.
